HS RTX2010 is a 16bit stack based microcontroller designed to be a radiation-hardened to suit Space applications where very high speed control tasks are to be performed.

The Emulator for this processor which was not available has been designed  for ISRO.

Presently this emulator is used by several divisions of ISRO  all over India. Some of the features of this emulator are as follows   

  • Single step execution with status reporting on all registers

  • Break on various conditions like :Instruction fetch at an address ,I/O activity,

Memory Read,Memory Write,  Interrupt and also asynchronous Break

  • Counting of Time elapsed while executing a routine in number of clock states.

  • Map memory of  64K bytes.

  • Trace memory of 64K cycles.

  • Download / upload of programs from / to the disk.

  • Editing of user memory

  • Disassembler to list out RTX2010 Mnemonics.

Multifunctional Vehicle Data Recorder (MFDR)

This is an LCD based Data Acquisition system for real time scanning of critical vehicle parameters for the purpose of data logging , audio visual warning and to assist vehicle maintenance scheduling. The system accepts On/Off and analog signals from electromechanical switches and sensors fitted on the equipment subsystems. It will log real time data to provide enhanced diagnostic message. The logged data can be retrieved later to study equipment history failure analysis.

The four keys provided on the front panel are used to operate certain basic functions like display equipment parameter, set limits , modify calibration table etc., A 320 x 240 pixels LCD on the front panel displays the warning  symbols of the parameter, operating hour of the vehicle , vehicle speed in digital format and warning messages.

Machine Down Time Recorder (MDTR)

Expensive machines are used for various processes in the manufacturing activities. During the activity in a day, the machine is down for many reasons. MDTR is an intelligent addressable device which can be fitted with each machine to record the reason and the duration for which the machine is down. When any of the machine is switched off, the attached device will not allow the machine to be switched on unless operator enters the proper Reason Code through keys provided on front panel of that device

MDTR  sends  the status of the machine when it is queried by the master device (PC). The master  will be communicating with several such slave devices on TDM basis and the total down time for  each reason is calculated and maintained in database on daily basis which can be used for the analysis.

Lift Display System

With the increase in customer expectations and requirements it has become essential to provide more information to the lift passengers either to make their travel easier or for the service provided to make use of the precious time of the passengers in promoting a company , product or service.

There are two units in this System.

  1. Lift Information Interface (LII) –collects digital data corresponding to the car position, movement and other informations like overload, lift under maintenance etc., from the machine controller and sends it to the Display Module Interface (DMI) along with the time and date.

  2. Display Module Interface. (DMI) – consists of 320 x 240 pixels LCD on which the floor number, Time, Date, room temperature and other messages like overload, lift under maintenance etc., along  with  the symbols will be displayed. DMI will be placed in each landing and inside the lift.

Message Display

It is a 20 character by four row Dot Matrix display with the character height of 2”. The messages can be scrolled horizontally / vertically .  Maximum of 64 characters can be fit in each row for horizontal scrolling and maximum of 20 rows (20characters in each row) can be scrolled vertically. The characters can be selected to give different attributes like flashing a character, reversing the image, underline etc.,

The Display System has an RS232C port to interact with a PC. A VB front end software is designed to download the messages to be displayed .The downloaded messages and attributes  can be stored in the internal memory so that it can be disconnected from the PC and made portable. The VB front end also provides for the user definable character fonts.

Heater failure Annunciator

Any process plant where heaters are deployed to control and maintain temperature at specified limits will have problems of rejections due to failure of heaters since the temperature variations will be noticed only after some time depending on the process inertia. Hence, it is desirable to sense the failure of heating element itself that will help cutting down process rejections.

Heater failure Annunciator is a system that is used to monitor the heaters and raise an alarm if any heater fails. The System is designed around a microcontroller, which can be used in a process plant where a large number of heaters are used. Alternately this can be used in any industry where motors, IR bulbs are to be monitored.

The instrument basically comprises of two parts. The first unit is the fault sensor which senses the performance of the heater and the second is the fault annunciator to give audio visual alarm..
