Hand Held Unit [HHU]
                    Hand Held Units are to be  used by doctors .Each Consulting room is required to have atleast one HHU. 
  •  Doctor can enter any consulting room and login from there with his ID and password.
  •  Doctor can choose his patients  for calling and recalling  from the list shown on the LCD screen in the Hand Held Unit .
  •  Doctor can call nurse from a nurse station.

                                                          Waiting Hall Display System [WHDS]

                  These Display systems  to be   installed in Waiting Halls show a Patient's  name, Token No., ID and Room Number of the doctor to be consulted with. Also generic messages can be made using the software  and shown on the WHD  for e.g.: ' Welcome to all ‘,' New Neurology Dept opened ' etc. Number of WHDS to be deployed in a waiting hall can be decided based on seating arrangement in the waiting hall and no. of consultants

                                                                        Door Display Unit [DDU]

        The Door Display Unit attached near the Consulting Room is used to display the Name of the Doctor occupying  it.It also shows the Token No. of  patient called and can be used to display generic messages for e.g.: ' Dr. PRASHANTH on leave ' ,' Afternoon Session 2:00 PM 'on it.

                                                                    Nurse Station Display Unit [DDU]

          These are LED Displays deployed at different Nurse Stations and are used to show doctor's call .It shows name and Room No. of the called doctor.

                                                                                        HQMS Software 

                   Software for HQMS should be installed in a centralised PC kept in OPD Counter to which all the HQMS devices will be networked and will communicate with them continiously.Software module takes care of,

  • Communication with the HQMS Devices.
  • Registation Process of the Patients.
  • Scheduled Appointments with Doctors.
  • Generation of some useful management reports which can be used for analysing the performance of the hospital's OPD section.

  
                                                                             HQMS Functions
  • Patient Registration : A new patient should get registered before he can be given token.
  • Token Issuing : Token will be issued only to a registered patient and also option is given to take print out of the token.
  • Patient Calling : Doctor can call a patient from the list of patients shown in his Hand Held Unit.Patient List is categorised as waiting, treating, served.Patient called from the waiting list will be shown on the Wating hall displays where the new patients will be sitting while the patient called from the treating list will be shown only on the door display waiting for his second call.
  • Nurse calling : Doctor can call  a nurse from his Hand Held Unit .The name of the Doctor calling the nurse will be displayed on the particular Nurse Station Display.
  • Reports : Over half a dozen of   management reports can be generated such as Doctors Login/Logout time, Doctors earnings for a month, Average number of patients treated by a doctor for a month, Average waiting time of patient for a doctor etc which can be used to evaluate the performance of the OPD department.
